Fabio Lorensi do Canto is a Brazilian with a PhD and Master’s in Information Science and degrees in Librarianship—information Management and Law. He currently works as a Librarian/Documentalist at the Central Library of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and as a substitute lecturer in the Librarianship Department at the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC).

Additionally, he is a research fellow in the Laguna Project, coordinated by the Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (IBICT).

He specializes in scientific communication, Bibliometrics, and Scientometrics and has made significant contributions through his participation in the 15th Lusophone Conference on Open Science and the 9th Brazilian Meeting on Bibliometrics and Scientometrics.
