Geographer and Community Relations Manager for Culture, Arts, and Humanities at the National Education and Research Network (RNP) of Brazil.

Jean Carlo Faustino holds a degree in Computer Science from UNESP, a master's degree from UNICAMP, a doctorate from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and was a visiting researcher at King's College London between 2015 and 2016.

Currently, he serves as Service Manager at the National Education and Research Network (RNP), overseeing identity management services, including the CAFe federation, Eduroam, the ICPEdu Personal Certificate, and the Corporate Certificate, also part of ICPEdu.

He has extensive experience in academia and the private sector, specializing in startups created in the so-called "Brazilian Silicon Valley."

In line with the objectives of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance and the the BELLA II project led by RedCLARA, TICAL provides a forum for strategic dialogue and exchange of experiences among the NRENs members of RedCLARA on strengthening regional science, technology, and innovation; promotes the identification of common challenges and opportunities of digital transformation for the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean, and seeks to identify the cornerstones for building a common development agenda based on digital.
